Human trafficking is a form of modern day slavery. This multi-billion-dollar criminal industry currently denies freedom to 20.9 million people around the world. In Nepal, over 1,000 girls are trafficked each month, with an estimated 200,000 Nepalese girls enslaved in brothels in India alone. The Grand Island Chapter of Free for Life is a group of people who have a passion to help fight against human trafficking. The Grand Island Chapter raises awareness for local trafficking, while raising funds to help support the Peace Rehabilitation Center in Nepal; which helps rescue, rehabilitate, and restore young girls who have been trafficked in Nepal.
